What these comments say about our way of working

Across the feedback, the same few points come up: clear writing, practical advice and work that the client's own crew can keep running. These themes describe how we try to work on every project.

Clear documentation

Clients most often mention the paperwork we leave behind. Diagrams, cable schedules, audit reports and run sheets are written so that someone who was not in the room can still follow them. We think a studio is only as dependable as the notes behind it. If your engineer is away on the day something fails, the documents should let a colleague find the problem. We aim to write plainly and put the most important finding first.

Practical advice

We recommend what suits the room, the budget and the programme, which is not always the largest or newest option. Sometimes a repositioned microphone does more than a wall of panels, and sometimes a lighting change fixes what looked like a camera problem. We explain our reasoning so you can weigh it and decide. When a fix is small, we say so, and when a problem needs larger work, we say that too.

Crew who keep it running

Training is built into most of our work. Operators, engineers and producers learn alongside us, so the result stays in place after we leave. We prefer short, hands-on sessions at the pedestals, in the gallery or at the rack, using your own equipment and programmes. The aim is a crew that understands why a setting was chosen and can adjust it with confidence when the next show asks for something different.
