The principles behind every studio we touch
Live television leaves little room for guesswork. A cable labelled badly or a rehearsal skipped shows up in front of an audience. These principles shape how we plan, build and hand over a studio, from the first site visit to the last training session.
Reliability
Reliability means choosing equipment and routing you can repair at midnight, then proving it under rehearsal conditions. We test fault paths, label every connection and leave spares lists, so a problem on air has a known first step and a person who knows it.
Clarity
Clarity runs through our drawings, run sheets and reports. We write in plain terms, name every device and setting, and explain why a choice was made. Producers, engineers and presenters can each read the same document and understand their part of the programme.
Craft
Craft shows in small things: cable runs that are tidy and serviceable, lens choices that suit the set, microphone positions that suit the room. We train your crew to keep that standard, so the quality does not depend on our visits.
What we do for live studios
Studio Equipment Integration
We design and wire vision mixers, routers, intercom and monitoring as one system. You receive drawings, labelled connections and a tested signal path, so your engineers can maintain it.
Services →Camera Setup and Technique
Camera positions, lens choice and operator coaching for news desks, interviews and live shows. We work on framing, movement and matching so shots cut together cleanly.
Services →
Acoustic Optimisation
Treatment plans and microphone placement that keep speech clear and studio noise under control. We assess the room as it is and propose changes that suit your budget.
Services →
Lighting Design
Key, fill and backlight plans using dimmable fixtures that suit presenters and cameras. We balance look, heat and power use for news sets and talk shows.
Services →
Live Production Workflow
Run sheets, rehearsal plans and fault procedures so live programmes go to air smoothly. We write them with your team so everyone knows their cue and their fallback.
Services →
Technical Audits and Training
An on-site review of your studio with a written report, followed by hands-on training for your crew. The report lists findings in order of priority.

Practical detail behind each project
Documented from the first day
Every project produces papers your team can keep using. Signal diagrams, patch lists and settings are written as the work happens. When a colleague joins or a device fails, the answer is on paper rather than in one person's memory.
- Signal flow diagrams
- Labelled patch lists
- Saved device settings
- Handover notes for your crew

Rehearsed before it matters
We run the studio through a full programme before the first live show. Cameras, sound, lighting and graphics are checked together. Faults are introduced on purpose so the crew practises the response while nothing is at stake.
- Full run-through with your crew
- Planned fault drills
- Intercom and cue checks
- Written run sheet for each format

Fitted to the room you have
Many of our clients work in converted spaces rather than purpose-built studios. We measure, listen and test before recommending anything. Advice is shaped by ceiling height, power supply, existing kit and the programmes you make.
- Site measurements and photographs
- Acoustic and lighting assessment
- Reuse of suitable existing equipment
- Options set out in priority order
